How You Can Support The Vernon & District Community Land Trust
The Community Land Trust operating expenses are funded through foundation grants and in-kind donations of professional services.
It is the Community Land Trust’s goal is to become financially self-sufficient by covering all of its operating costs through lease fee revenues. As land and home development come into the Trust, the organization will be able to recover more of its operating costs through the lease payments and be less dependant on foundation grants.
Donating to the Community Land Trust is a way to give back to the community. The benefits of donating to the Community Land trust include:

- opportunity to give back to the community;
- support a housing cause of your choice;
- naming recognition;
- charitable tax receipt
You or your company can support the Community Land trust through making gifts of tax-deductible gifts of land, cash, stocks, real estate, life insurance policies and many other properties of value. All non real estate gifts will be used to purchase appropriate land acquisition for affordable housing.
Leaving a gift to the Community Land Trust through a will or estate plan helps a donor leave a legacy in the community and ensures that the donor’s gift continues to benefit the community long after they are gone.
